Trashion 2023
Model Natalie Magee
Trashion is a fashion Show run by MSU Fashion Board. Every garment made for the 'Trashion' show has to be made of 'trash'
For my 2023 Trashion Fashion garment, I used my brothers old boxers! I know it sounds odd, but all of the material was washed multiple times. I used the waistbands of the boxers to create a bandeau top, and the rest of the fabric to create the gathers for my capris.
Trashion 2022
I used the previous stitching from the thrifted jeans to create a strong, stable corset.
For Trashion 2022, I used old denim that I got at the Goodwill bins. I created a corset using the stitching and waistbands of the jeans, a ruffle skirt, and a patchwork purse with braided handles.

I challenged myself with this project by choosing four different materials to work with. Polyester, Cotton, Spandex, and Lace
I particularly enjoyed this project because I was able to learn a lot about new fabrics and the way they fit the body.
I created this garment in my Pattern Making course. With the knowledge learned from this class, I was able to create this two- piece set.
I used denim and a white floral fabric for this garment.
I designed and constructed this dress in my Draping course. I started by draping my muslin onto the body form. I then created a paper pattern for my garment, and cut my fabric with my pattern pieces and sewed it all together!
